یہ واقعہ کراچی کے علاقے ڈیفنس میں پیش آیا جہاں ایم کیو ایم کے سینئر رہنما  خواجہ اظہار کے گارڈ نے فائرنگ سے فور ڈیلیوری بوائے کو زخمی کر دیا طبی امداد کے لیے ڈیلیوری بوائے کو ہسپتال منتقل کر دیا گیا ایس ایس پی ساؤتھ کے مطابق ڈلیوری بوائے گھر میں کھانا دینے آیا تھا دو سے تین مرتبہ بیل بجانے پر سکیورٹی گارڈ عملے سے تلخ کلامی ہوئی پولیس کے مطابق اسی دوران  گارڈ نے فائرنگ شروع کردی جس کی وجہ سے سے ڈلیوری بوائے زخمی ہوگیا جبکہ دوسری طرف خواجہ اظہار الحسن نے نجی ٹیلی ویژن پر بتاتے ہوئے کہا کہ ڈلیوری بوائے کے میرے گھر سے روانہ ہونے کے بعد اس کے ساتھ یہ واقعہ پیش آیا میرے گھر میں کسی کے ساتھ بھی تلخ کلامی نہیں ہوئی اور نہ ہی میرے کسی گارڈ نے ڈلیوری بوائے کے ساتھ جھگڑا کیا۔
